A Study On Operating Of Art Design Workshop In Vocational Colleges

The development of art design workshop in higher vocational education provides a new teaching mode for the teachers and students which are in art design major. Its teaching method can be flexible and courses arrangement can be based on needs. It also can help students to solve practice problem and adapt to society. More and more vocational colleges set the workshop to be critical point in art design major development. Talents are also cultivated in workshops. But some problems also come out. Based on the workshop as a starting point for research, the thesis reveals the problems in the workshop operation and proposes appropriate solutions.Firstly, the thesis analyzes rising and developing of art design workshops in higher vocational colleges. Then questionnaire survey has been done in many vocational colleges such as Guiyang and Guizhou. And many problems come out. Namely, the workshop’s level is quite low; many colleges ignore their advantage and copy existing mode. And colleges are short of money, short of supporting from companies. Teachers are also short of experiment; participation of students is not high; quality is without control and so on. In order to solve the issues in the operation in art design workshops, taking Guangdong light industry vocational technical college’s successful experience as an example, the thesis puts forward countermeasures such as integrating resources; improving the workshop teaching conditions; taking the mode of "traditional teaching+workshop teaching"; strengthening the team building, and encouraging enterprises and technical personnel to participate deeply in the workshop teaching; establishing and perfecting the management mechanism, strengthening quality supervision of workshop teaching.
