The Semantic Analysis And The Culture Explanation Of Chinese Traditional Cultural Core Category Of "Ya"

"Ya" as one of the core categories of Chinese culture, ancient and modern scholars have long been discussing about it. During the pre-Qin period when wars were frequent and thoughts were active, the Confucian had put forward their understanding of "Ya" in its literary theory. This paper starts with the analysis of the semantic evolution of "Ya", and then explores the origins of Ya".On such basis, it analyzes the meaning of "Ya" of the Confucian and the Taoism, and finally sublimates the cultural and aesthetic significance of "Ya" through analyzing the ritual.
