The Research Of The Human Subjectivity Presented By The Figures Of Migrants And Immigrants In Hong Kong Movies Since1980

The human subjectivity has been playing an incomparable role in the development of human society, and it has been vividly demonstrated by the powerful living will of the migrants and the immigrants. This thesis is on the ontology of human beings, or the subjectivity of Hong Kong City and its people, which is presented through the figures of the migrants and the immigrants in the movies from Hong Kong since the1980s.Hong Kong saw the unique period in its history since1980so that the figures of migrants and immigrants in its movies are rather typical. The body of the paper consists of three parts, they are the space time、homeland and the consciousness, all of which are of the living of human beings. First, not only the living time is at the mercy of migrants and immigrants in the movies, but the living space is beyond the geographical significance to them as well, which fully prove that human beings are in charge of the space time in their lives. Secondly, in Chinese culture, the value of the individuals depends on the groups they belong to. Thus, the Chinese family, a form of the group, becomes a meaningful aspect for the study on the figures of the migrants and the immigrants. In other words, the relationship of these figures and the sense of belonging to their homeland have been deemed to be a metaphor for Hong Kong and its people. Finally, the special geographical and historical experiences of Hong Kong have led to the indescribable relationship between the Mainland and Hong Kong, which has much to do with the consciousness of Hong Kong and its people. So the question of the self-awareness of this city has attracted the persons who are concerned about the society of Hong Kong. In a word, the human subjectivity is the intrinsic reasons for the establishment of self-identity for Hong Kong City and its people. Therefore, to learn the development of human society, especially Hong Kong, a typical city full of migrants and immigrants, for the analysis on the figures of migrants and immigrants, the research of the human subjectivity has a progressive significance.
