Senior year is the most important year in high school, in which students are busilypreparing for the coming CEE. Stressful school work, frequent mock examinations, greatexpectations of parents and teachers, and the uncertainty of their future, all of which pressureson the senior high students. Their psychological constitution has been strained to the utmost.In the circumstances, the state of their mental health is worrying. Therefore, the mostimportant task of senior year is to help them adjust their state, and rise to the CEE withconfidence. Schools, teachers and parents should pay high attention to it.The study attempts to investigate factors such as the achievement motivation, academicburnout, and examination anxiety, which strongly influence the senior students’ mental health,hoping to fully understand their mental state, develop their mental health during the senioryear and help them get high scores in CEE, provide experimental summary and theoreticalreference.The study adopts Hu Qiao, Dai Chunlin’s (2007)“The Scale of Burnout of School Workof Middle School Students”; Yu Anbang, Yang Guoshu’s SSOAM, SIOAM; and TAS.600senior students of key school and common school in Shijiazhuang are chosen as the object ofstudy. The purpose of the study is to understand their achievement motive, burnout of schoolwork, and examinaiton anxiety, analyze the features and connections of the factors.Descriptive statistics, variance analysis are applied in the study. Data are processing bySPSS16.0.The conclusions are suppose to be:1. The achievement motivation of senior students is medium and high side, the scoresof achievement motivation show significant difference in school types.2. The academic burnout of senior students is medium and low side, the scores anddimensions of academic burnout show significant difference in school types.3. The examination anxiety of senior students is at a midum and severe level.4. The achievement motivation is negatively related to academic burnout. Theexamination anxiety is positively related to the academic burnout. The achievement showslittle connections to the examination anxiety---zero correlation. 5. The achievement motivation and examination anxiety have strong prediction effectson the academic burnout. The achievement motivation has negative prediction effects onexamination anxiety, and positive prediction effects on the academic burnout.
