Xinjiang Minority Style Oil Painting Language Study

Art diversification development is the inevitable result of cultural development of the new era and regional cultural development will inevitably influence the structure of overall cultural diversity. Therefore, it is our responsibility to do research on regional art development. This dissertation focus on the study of minority-Xinjiang, including its current situation of regional art creation, change of art language style from the point of Xinjiang aesthetic painting and the path that Xinjiang painting will go.Based on the study of geographical condition of Xinjiang and its oil painting through humanistic feature, this thesis will analyze the geographical and humanistic factors that influence Xinjiang oil painting and explore the tradition affecting its development. Xinjiang murals, folk customs, Islamic culture and Persian miniatures influence people’s aesthetic psychological structure. Then I analyzed characteristics of Xinjiang oil painting, such as the style, color and chronicle feature. The third part of my dissertation researches into the specific language of painting through development of painter groups in Xinjiang and their works shape. In the end, I give my own opinions about the development of oil painting in Xinjiang, how to lead oil painting meet the demand of populace, and show culture from the point of art, cultural development and anthropology, and explore new ideas for the development of Xinjiang painting. This dissertation concludes that Xinjiang painting development has a long way to go.
