As a regional culture of our country in Xinjiang,the cultural characteristics of one of the regions,Xinjiang has forty-seven people live together,all ethnic diversity and richness of contributed to the Xinjiang region is extremely rich in art culture and aesthetic characteristics of stability.Xinjiang oil painting art from officially began after the founding of PRC,of the last century seventy s entered the stage of rapid development,emerged a large number of excellent oil painting artist,mehmet,ai,Nu Er Mai Mai Di and Zhuoranmu etc,these artists contribution of whole Xinjiang and even the whole China out of the large number of outstanding works of art.With the development of contemporary culture,ethnic culture and art have made great progress,especially those appeared in Xinjiang.The reasons lie on two aspects: one is that Xinjiang minority artists play their own regional cultural advantages,the other one is that the universities and professional departments in main land continue to communicate with Xinjiang and to send visiting experts to Xinjiang,which let Xinjiang show its unique artistic charm.While the most representative one is the art of oil painting.In this paper,through the analysis of the minority painting artists in contemporary Xinjiang and their painting styles,through a comparative stu dy of oil painting in Xinjiang and oil painting art in the mainland,demonstrates the regionalism and nationalism of painting art in Xinjiang to draw the conclusion that the painting style in Xinjiang is a materialized form of the regionalism and nationalism as well its inspiration for future development of Xinjiang oil painting.This paper tries from three aspects,the first part analyzes the cultural connotation and cultural elements of Xinjiang painting to summarize the cultural background and the development venation of oil paintings in the theme of Xinjiang ethnic minority;the second part analyzes the current situation of contemporary ethnic minorities in Xinjiang and studies the picture characters and the artistic style of contemporary Xinjiang ethnic minority oil painting artists;the last part analyzes the aesthetic value and artistic concept of the special language style of oil paintings in Xinjiang,so as to obtain the demonstration result: regionalism and nationalism is the materialized form of integration of the traditional and the present in culture and art in Xinjiang,and adhering to regionalism and nationalism is the solid foundation for the prosperity and development of oil painting in Xinjiang.
