Fashion illustration is an artistic form based on visual culture and fashion philosophy. Alongwith the economy, science and technology progress, especially the development of visual culture,we have entered the era of visual-reading. Visual-reading develops along with mass culture thatpeople who lives fast-paced life cannot enjoy themselves or taste the content and meaningbehind image, which prompts illustrator embodies aesthetic characteristics and tell the storycolorfully to draw consumer’s attention and arouse their feelings. The rapid development ofcomputer and software technology drives the blossom of computer illustration, which is fast andconvenient and combines art and design together. It can bring bran-new visual perception andbecome powerful means for new generation consumer to express their aesthetic idea. Those arethe actual motivation of this paper.Taking aesthetic features of fashion illustration as central thesis, this paper combedchangeable regular of illustration aesthetic style and discussed the relation between receptionaesthetics and illustration creation and argued several regulars of aesthetic characteristics onfashion illustration. Taking the fashion illustration conception as cutting point, the secondchapter combed the capriciousness of fashion illustration aesthetic style. The third chapterstudied the aesthetic interest of consumer and learns about consumer’s inner need which wasbase for aesthetic judgment. The interest is subjective and epochal. Public aesthetic psychologyto seek common or uncommon culture is consumer’s basic psychology towards fashion and thevisual perception psychology regular is the origin of fashion illustration appreciation. The fourthchapter mainly analyzed the aesthetic feature of fashion illustration appreciation throughstudying the aesthetic interests, psychology and characteristics. Idealized image, non-utilitarianaesthetic, story, formalized language and thematic aesthetic feature are important to fashionillustration. Expounding the aesthetic features of representative fashion illustration was toconclude the specific manifestation in picture. In the fifth chapter some fashion illustration wascreated. The illustrator should highlight those aesthetic characteristics which contains consumer’s inner need. The consumers hold very emotional attitude towards fashion illustration,thus concise and summary lines and shapes should be used to ensure fast and fluent visual senseand lively color and modal composition should be used to enhance visual infectivity and attractconsumer’s vision. More ideal image should be made to meet the consumer’s unconscious needfor perfection and popular elements should be used to prompt the feeling of fashion to meetconsumer’s curiosity. Consumer’s artistic acceptation to fashion illustration is an activerecreation process. The illustrator can use personalized visual language and choose propermaterials to explain the theme perfectly. At the same time, the fashion story can drive their inneremotion, and even guide the mode their aesthetic interests.
