Jacquard fabric combining art with engineering is the typical product with hightechnology.According to the analysis of development of textile market, individualizedconsumption will remain substantial increase and the requirement for jacquard fabricproduct innovation is also growing quickly. In present, the research on jacquard fabricproducts innovation mostly focuses on the application of new materials and newtechnology. However, digital design technology is applied rarely to innovating designmode of traditional jacquard and enhancing the visual artistic features caused byjacquard fabrics, the research on artistic effects of jacquard fabrics is far lags behindthat of jacquard technology innovation. Techniques of traditional pattern designapproaches have a lot of limitations and performance effects are not very richperformance effects. Compared to digital design technology, traditional pattern designapproaches are lack of the bright spark and cannot meet the demand of consumermarket for the innovation of jacquard fabric products. Aiming at those problems, theissue put forward a pattern design method on the basis of the principle of thelayered-combination design mode of digital jacquard and verified the feasibility of itin practice production. Based on this pattern design approach, a series of innovationjacquard fabrics are designed which will provide reference for the design of digitaljacquard fabrics.First of all, the research found that the traditional plane design mode ofhand-painted patterns have very strong adornment art charm, however due to thelimitation of one-to-one correspondence between colors and weaves, the patterndesign has a certain regularity and stylized, color expression of such pattern is notvery rich, and design process takes long time, it can’t meet the requirements of massproduction. Although CAD technology has improved the efficiency of pattern design and increased the number of color from32to thousands, but just stays at themodification of hand-painted patterns and don’t take full advantage of computertechnology to realize the substantial innovation of pattern design. If intending tocomprehensively realize the integrated innovation of jacquard fabrics, must bechanged design model fundamentally.And then, the thesis discusses thoroughly the basic principle of thelayered-combination design mode of digital jacquard digital jacquard fabric layeredcombination design mode. After analysis, it is found that the layered-combinationdesign mode is a new kind of design mode that modifies digital image twice throughthe decomposition and combination design, and then, applied to the design ofjacquard fabric product. The conception of layered-combination design mode also canbe applied to pattern design of jacquard fabric. On such a basis had that the multiplelayers pattern design model replacing single layer pattern design model been raised.This resolution would fundamentally break the bottleneck during pattern design ofjacquard fabrics. For the next step, according the relationship of fabric effect with theoriginal pattern to build the pattern design methods,and from the gray processingmethod, color processing method, layered-pattern processing method andlayered-transformation processing method to design patterns with the simulativeeffect and innovative effect.Finally, based on the framework of innovation design method of jacquard patternestablished in previous research, the design practice is carried out. based on theframework diagram established in the issue with four kinds of simulation patterndesign fabrics were developed to verify the practicability of the pattern design methodto achieve fundamentally innovation of jacquard pattern presented in the issue.Layered-combination design mode has changed the concept of traditionaljacquard pattern design. After Separation and stratification, the digital image isdesigned with three-dimensional multi-layer structure. This method can be applied tonot only realizing the simulation effects design but also the innovation effects design upon the original design. In addition, design effects change along with the designmethods. The pattern design method proposed in the issue that is a brand-new way todesign pattern can provide better guidance for the development of digital jacquardfabrics and adapt to the technical requirements of mass production.
