Patterned Digital Interactive Applications

With the development of economy and information transmission and technology,art along with technology–an enormous digital section is now shifting from thewords-entered media to media that concentrate on graphical and photographical andinteraction media forms techniques. Now, multi-media digital designs are one of thenew trends in the globalised information age. While technology is changing the way ofhow products are designed, it also changes various way of art design in different regions.We all know that one of the influences brought about by globalization is that culturalbounders become inexplicit; one of the direct results is that designed art pierces aremore and more similar and art pierces are made in robotic scale of products anddiversity is disappearing. Then a question is raised, how should we deal with the comingchallenges that new media have brought about, and how can we have our designedproducts mixed with features of traditional Chinese cultural elements and elements ofthis informational globalized age. This question is what this easy mainly about.Traditional Chinese art pierces contain plenty of localized ethnic merits, which isthe reflection of the glorious ancient Chinese art history. Based on the awareness ofabsorbing elements that are contained in the primitive decoration, symbols, and theattempt to imitate the nature, Chinese traditional pictures have shown a revised versionof its traditional Chinese style. All those beautiful and colorful art pictures representwell very the nature of Chinese art as well as its glorious art history. Chinese traditionalart actually is a mixture of lots of elements and meanwhile its outstanding feature hasnever been obscured and it is eases to be recognized, especially, when traditionalChinese art has been represented in the form of digital interaction media design toconvey Chinese traditional spirits, which is a bold attempt and exploration. In this essay,I will start from Chinese traditional pictures in a big scale, and step by step to dig outseveral classical picture patterns in all design fields which well represent Chinesetraditional art, thus finding out the fittest study point that I would like to embark on.After searching for all of the Chinese traditional picture patterns, I decided to carry onmy research on the digital interaction design of Dunhuang classical decorative picturepatterns. Firstly, I started on the classification of classical Dunhuang picture patterns.Secondly, I make detailed analysis on the composition of picture patterns, the color ofthose picture patterns and the modelling of these picture patterns. Finally, after all theseanalysis, several meaningful results of these analyses are used in my graduation designassignment to instruct my own website design and a picture pattern centered digitalinteraction internet game named going through Dunhuang.In the process of design, in order to make the digital interaction designed work hadsome special art features; we can try hard in the attempt to combine art and thetechniques of making those arts together. This attempt can present a differentperspective of Chinese traditional art. As for the design of Dunhuang picture patterns, the design of the digital interaction picture patterns of Dunhuang classical picturepatterns is an efficient way to protect and preserve Dunhuang classical picture patternsand Dunhuang classical art, which also provide the following designers who areinterested in Dunhuang classical picture patterns with some reference and experience.
