The relationship between literary creation and regional culture is just like flesh and blood; therefore,regional culture has become an important perspective to the interpretation of Chinese literature in20thCentury. There are both generality and individuality of culture in various regions of China,with whichconstitute the characteristics of China’s cultural diversity and unity. Xinjiang has a very uniquegeographical environment,climate extremes of cold and scorching heat coexist,deserts and river valleysdepend on each other,mountains and plains lie together; Xinjiang also has a very unique multi-culturalenvironment,which is the meeting place of the world’s four greatest civilizations. It is a multi-ethnicgathering place since ancient times,no matter the grassland culture or farming culture,Han culture orminority culture,eastern culture or western culture,etc,All of these interacting and infiltrating with eachother,formed a multi-cultural pattern. Start from Xinjiang Uygur writers and their creations,usinggeographical and cultural theories,literary theories and literature datas translated into Chinese,to make arelatively comprehensive research and study on the intrinsical links between Uygur literature and regionalculture in Xinjiang on the basis of previous research,to clarify the diversity and complexity of regionalculture on the basis of literary phenomenons,so as to grasp the characteristics of regional culture moreaccurately,and then try to grasp the intrinsic regularity of developing and changing in regional culture.The topic contributes to the promotion of minority writers and their works,arising much moreconcern on minority writers in the literary world,it would be of more practical significance to promote theMainland’s understanding of the culture in marginal areas,and hope that this paper can provide somereference for Xinjiang regional literature and Xinjiang cultural studies as well. The main contents of thispaper:The first chapter is about the research status of the domestic regional culture,the explanation of coreconcepts,as well as the origin of the research and the main path of this thesis.Based on time and subjects in Chapter two,summarize and analyze Xinjiang Uygur literary works inmodern and contemporary times. The unique local culture affects the ways and means that writers observenature and society,think about the universe and health. Chapter III presents two perspectives that concern Xinjiang Uygur literature on the background ofregional culture that is the Avanti humorous features and characteristics formed by multi-cultural exchange.Through the absorption of traditional culture and foreign culture,regional culture in Xinjiang and thecreation of Uygur Writers fitted each other in a deep level.The fourth chapter discusses the achievements and significance of Xinjiang Uygur modern andcontemporary Literature,summarizes the results made in three aspects—the overall rise in the literary styleof Xinjiang Contemporary Uygur literature; the opening up of ideological themes and artistic techniques;the high degree of unity of local culture and ethnic characteristics,and then pointed out the inadequaciesand the direction that should be heading on.
