The Beauty Of Yaoi:a Study On Yaoi Fans’gender View

The yaoi, also known as Boys’ Love (BL), a Japanese genre of fictional media focusing on homoerotic romantic or sexual relationships between male characters, included cartoon, animation, fiction, game, radio play and so on. It refers to a female audience and usually created by female authors. In the early1990s, yaoi culture was spread to China, expanding among the young girls with the development of network. Yaoi fans are brought together on the cyber community and mobile social media. The main characters of this kind of subculture group are seeking entertainment and pursuing for freedom. Their creations descript the BL in a different way, which are subversion and rebellion against the traditional literature. In my opinion, yaoi fans’creation and appreciation on yaoi break the gender relations in fixed. They challenge the traditional values and Patriarchy. They discuss the diversity of cultural traits and characteristics of modern women’s thoughts by yaoi creation.This research mainly discusses whether the factors of yaoi fans satisfied with the creation and appreciation yaoi are similar to Muley’s study of male gaze in Hollywood movies in type creation, viewing behavior, psychological satisfaction, social expectation etc.The first capture is the introduction, mainly introduces the research background, research object and issue, research methods of this paper. The second capture is a briefly review of the research on related topics, including the theory of gaze, the research of yaoi from the aspects of individual psychological exploration and feminism study. The third capture analyses internal power relation of yaoi. By contrasting the relationship of seme and uke with the general relationship of male and female, this part summarizes the characteristic of yaoi authors’view: sexual entertainment creative sight.
