The Postmodern Feminism View On Gender By Example Of Judith Butler’s View Of Gender Performativity

Gender relations are the most direct and basic relations among human beings in society and the harmonious development of gender relations is directly reverent to every aspects of social improvements. Since the society has formed, gender-relation problems are always a hot debate in spite of the constant development. With the ever-accelerating updating of gender theory, more and more problems and defects of conservative feminism have been exposed. Then it is already not enough to fulfill the new requirements of solving gender problems which to some extent, limit the development of humans. Therefore, with the inspiration of postmodern feminism, this journal will focus on different new gender issues during this period. In addition, specifically, I will analyze the postmodern gender view on the basis of Judith Butler’s theory and thereby thinking out of the box to overcome the restrictions of conservative feminism gender perspective. In terms of the research in this area, there are many differences between China and Western countries. This is all because Chinese scholars more concentrated on our own social reality and traditional culture effects and at the same time, they tried to find their own way to solve women’s problems. In the end, an new way to develop feminism with Chinese characteristics has gradually been found and therefore contribute to the liberation movement and practices of women. However, the theory of this area in China still is not perfectly established. Compared to western studies, we still need more profound research in this area, in particular, more objective and comprehensive studies concerning women’s exposed and potential ideology and conduct features. In conclusion, it is necessary to understand more essences of current western feminism theory. We should further explore the uniqueness of modern women based on formal studies on feminism gender perspective and try to find a new way to achieve the goal with respect to harmonious and healthy gender relations development.This journal will mainly combine literature research method with comparative research method to conduct its own research. With respect to literature research method, this journal will try to seek the main thinking threads of all the existing research, representing by Professor Butler, thereby obtaining the main contents of post-modern feminism and additionally analyzing all these reading materials from the perspective of philosophy. Besides, in terms of comparative research methods, in this journal, it will compare different aspects of all the referenced literatures, like different time periods, the text and the reality, history and modern age, etc,. And then reveal all the possible common aspects of and differences between feminism in different time period. Moreover, it will also combine the abstract and the concrete and integrate methodology with practice, etc..
