The Transformation Of The News Photography In Photograph Era

With the rapid development of digital technology and Internet technology, film days never came back. Photography used to be professional skills by professional photographer and press photographer, but now it towards to the masses. Traditional pattern of information has been broken by the popularity of the Internet. More and more media audiences play active roles in the process of information dissemination. They take pictures about everything in life, and their photography works can spread widely in the Internet world. So it comes the era of photography.Concerning the impact and challenge from the Photography Era, traditional media, especially newspapers, start to publish the photograph page. The found of the photograph page changed the traditional pattern of news photography. Now the press photographer pays more attention to the social reality but not only the top news. And the reader changed their role from one-way audience to the information dissemination participants and spreaders. The development of the Internet promotes the combination between Traditional Media and New Media. In order to expand the channels of communication and attract more audiences to their photographic activity, a lot of newspaper begin to set up Internet and new media platform for the photograph page.The research object of this thesis is the photograph page’snapshot’ of Urban Express in 2014. The thesis also combines the content analysis and interviewing method to research the theme:news photograph page and the transformation of news photograph.
