Character is a complete structural system, the Single Ideogram as the basic component of Chinese characters structure, is the foundation of Chinese characters structure. Oracle-Bone Inscription at present is the earliest visible Chinese characters which is systematic. The study of the Single Ideogram of the Oracle-Bone Inscription, would help us understand the origin of Chinese characters, understanding the basic components of Chinese characters structure, finding out the changes of compositions during construction process of Chinese Characters and exploring the evolution of Chinese characters structure approach. This paper made a comprehensive investigation on the Single Ideogram of the Oracle-Bone Inscription, striving to present a comprehensive appearance of Single Ideogram and find out the font and meaning’s evolution mode of the Single Ideogram of the Oracle-Bone Inscription after it enters the Compound Characters and Phonetic Characters.The paper is divided into three parts. Firstly, determine and generalize the Single Ideogram of the Oracle-Bone Inscription. From selecting the object, constituting the image, generating meaning and expressing meaning, the four processes which Ideogram construct in dynamic way, to conclude the Single Ideogram’s dynamic structure type and identify the origins, configuration and ideographic way of the structural elements of Chinese characters at the beginning of the Chinese characters structure. Secondly, analyze the Single Ideogram of the Oracle-Bone Inscription’s allograft, in case to make clear Single Ideogram’s shape and Oracle-Bone Inscription’s allogeneic division situation. Analysis and identify the phenomenon of general character and mixed character after Single Ideogram enter the Compound Characters and Phonetic Characters. Thirdly, analyze the evolution of Single Ideogram of the Oracle-Bone Inscription after it enters the Compound Characters and Phonetic Characters. The main analysis of the variations and performance of Single Ideogram’s configuration features when the Single Ideogram into Compound Characters and Phonetic Characters. Compare the differences of character component and expressive function between Single Ideogram characters in entering the compound characters and Phonetic Characters with the original Single Ideographic characters. To summarizes the pronunciation connection between the Single Ideogram turning into Phonetic components and the original Single Ideographic characters.
