Hume, one of the18th century British empiricism esthetician, isan empirical aesthetics of completer. His empirical aesthetics,especially emotional aesthetics, have a huge impact on Britishempiricism and the whole of Western Europe emotional aesthetics.Academic research on Hume aesthetics though already covered,but few have special chapter discusses the emotional. From theperspective of the lasted binding sexual and common, this paperwill set up "emotion" as a key word to be able to accuratelyunderstand Hume emotional aesthetic essence and meaning. Thepaper also focus on the Hume original work and sets up the Humeemotional as the main line, which can better analyze Humeaesthetics and the British of empiricism aesthetics.This paper attempts to analyze Hume emotional aesthetics fromthe perspective of emotional. It also strives to achieve gains in thefollowing two aspects. On the one hand, this paper attempts tofocus on the Hume’s theory of emotion. In order to analyze theconnotation of the Hume emotional, the paper deals with therelationships of the emotional with intellectual, moral and socialinteraction. Hume’s predecessors study emotions, some from the intellectual point of view, too rational; some from the emotionalpoint of view, too sensual. Hume reasonably reconciles therelationship between the emotional, intellectual, moral and socialinteraction. On the other hand, this paper tries to analyze theHume’s moral tendencies from the relationship between utilitarianand non-utilitarian. Hume’s emotional nature is non-utilitarianaesthetic values under utilitarian garb. This paper sets up emotionsas the main line, divided into the following sections:The introduction discusses the development of sentimentalismand aesthetics, the nature of emotional aesthetic. It also describesthe research status of Hume emotional. At the same time, this partdescribes the value and significance of this thesis.The first part analyzes the development of the Britishempiricism and sentimentalism from a longitudinal perspective.Whether Hobbes “self-preservation” concept of egoism passion andLocke’s theory of tabula rasa, or Shaftesbury and Hutcheson theoryof the public emotions, inner sense and the morality, which laid thefoundation for Hume emotional aesthetic.The second, third and fourth part are the main part of the paper.The second part discusses the reasons and objects for theoccurrence of Hume emotional aesthetics. This part also outlinesthe nature of emotion and beauty, which resolved Hume emotionalproblems from the perspective of the general theory. The third partdiscusses issues such as the status of imagination and the role ofimagination, which describes the specific process of emotion,indicating the important role of imagine for emotion generated. Thefourth part is the specific categories of beauty, which includes intellectual beauty, moral beauty and the beauty of socialinteraction.Intellectual beauty mainly relates to its content and therelationships of intellectual and emotional. Moral include the natureof morality, which is the concept of compassion. It also includes thedistinction of the morality utilitarian and non-utilitarian. The socialinteraction beauty mainly covers its two specific forms: the tragedyand interest problems.The last part describes the impact on Hume emotional aesthetic.Hume emotions have a significant impact on beauty of Burkeaesthetics and Kant aesthetics. Hume emotions affect theaesthetic concept of Bock sympathy and passion. His emotionsaffect Burke, who distinguishes between beauty and sublime. Humeemotional aesthetics also affect the aesthetics of Kant’s critique.
