But before long, Burmese nationalist elites initiated the anti-Japanese armed uprising and drove Japan out of Burma with the cooperation of China and the United States. Burmese attitude towards Japan experienced from goodwill-Japan to cooperation with Japan, then to anti-Japan. Why Burma’s attitude before and after changed so much?Burma’s history was connected with Japan during World War II,but the academic circles hadn’t yet discussed this problem deeply. So this paper puts the transformation of Burma’s attitude towards Japan as a research project and focuses on sorting and analyzing the process and reason of the attitude. The transformation of Burma’s attitude towards Japan divided into three stages, goodwill-Japanese, cooperation with Japan, anti-Japanese. At first, this paper elaborates the preliminary cognition of Japanese in Burma and analyzes the background and progress about Burma’s goodwill to Japan; secondly, this paper discusses the progress and reason of Burma’s attitude to Japan from the pro-Japanese to cooperation with Japan; then the progress of cooperation between Burma and Japan; finally this paper will analyzes the progress and reason which from cooperation with Japan to anti-Japanese and discusses its influence.In conclusion, this paper divides the attitude’s change into three stages according to the time sequence and analyzes the reason on detail. The goodwill-Japanese of Burma has a profound historical reason and religious factors. In addition, Japanese used "same clan and same religion" to attract Burmese people. The outbreak of world war II is a catalyst for Burma, which speeds up the progress of cooperation. According to Japan, it has its strategic significance, and the Burmese road hinder its aggression against China.
