From Recording To Social-networking:the Change Evolution Of Storage Media

Photos have been playing an important role in interpersonal communication since the invention of photography. Together with the support of photography, Internet technology and mobile communication technology, the main functions of the photos have changed from the memories to a social interaction. This study shows a series of changes in personal photography by comparing the photos in the different periods of the carrier, aiming at discussing the role of photos in the era of internet and the shift of their functions.This study is mainly divided into five parts. The first part discusses the changes of photo carriers and changes in personal communication. The second part analyzes the technical factors of changes and summarizes the characteristics and performance of individual photographs in different period of social network. The third and fourth parts of the research are to study the motivation and mental behaviors of the users who upload photos to the social network. The fifth part is the introspection of my whole project. I try to analyze what negative influences this brand new social method would have without denying its positivity.
