College English coursebooks are the most direct, authorized and comprehensive tools for college English teachers to carry on teaching activities, they are also the main resources for students to study English. It is very important to evaluate college English coursebooks objectively in order to make good use of them and also improve college English teaching quality to some extent. However, researches on comparative evaluating coursebooks for Integrated Course Book of New College English and Experiencing English are relatively few and far between.The author for this thesis has long experience for college English teaching, with a deep understanding of these two materials. From 2012, some questionnaire surveys have been conducted for undergraduate students of medical college in Northwest Universities for Nationalities. Based on related theories of national and international English teaching material evaluations, it has been proved that the two teaching materials can meet students’learning needs in one sense, but they have advantages and disadvantages from different angles. The questionnaire survey data have been typed into SPSS statistic software, using quantitative analysis to analyze.At present, these two materials are still major teaching resources for students from Northwest University for Nationalities. Comparative research for these two materials will help users understand their strong points and weak points. The research methods will provide valuable information for material evaluators to some degree.
