A Study About Cultural Symbols Of Chinese Bridge Competition

"Chinese Bridge--Chinese proficiency Competition for foreign college students "has been successfully held for thirteen sessions,which had a profound impact all over the world. Chinese Bridge is playing an important role in Chinese language and culture transmission and becoming an important media to internationalize Chinese culture.In the perspective of semiotics,taking Chinese Bridge as the key object of research,this article summarizes the internal model and micro-paths of cultural transmission,by introducing the show briefly, with the method of symbolic interaction theory,literature research method and case analysis.Finally,this paper offers some references and inspirations for similar cultural transmission projects.Chinese Bridge does an excellent job of using a variety of symbols to transmit cultural knowledge in helping provide a fully picture of Chinese excellent traditional culture and dynamic popular culture to the contestants. The micro-paths of cultural transmission focus on the interaction between people.The Chinese Bridge staff create special context for the dissemination of culture as a communicator.The contestants explain the context based on their own subjective opinion.Then they get large amounts of Chinese cultural knowledge by interacting with other people.Finally,the significance of cultural symbols is successfully delivered in various joint efforts.Thus,Chinese foreign cultural communication needs both comprehensive culture and interaction to set up the advanced international image.
