To study the autobiography novels of women writers from early China, firstly, we have to distinguish "autobiography novels "from "autobiographies"; secondly, we have to compare autobiography novels with other types of novels of women writers from early China so as to find their profound content. May fourth period, which advocated personality liberation, was a reform period when western learning was introduced to China such as large number of Western biography translations, which transformed the traditional Chinese biography writing concept. Women writers from early China did not choose to write biographies directly; rather, they chose autobiography novels which combines fiction with reality. They used their pens to record the Chinese society and the real living environment of women from the perspective of women intellectuals after "May Fourth Movement". The self-identification in the narration starts from the aspects of family and social attributes and inter-verifies style characteristics with "others" from realization.
