In 1609, Satsuma Battle is an important turning point for Ryukyu, Japan or China. In postwar, Japan controlled the trade interests between Ryukyu and China. In 1634, Ryukyu invaded by Satsuma started sending envoys to the Edo bakufu under the Shimazu clan. From 1634 to 1850 the Tribute Act the duration of more than two hundred years also referred to as"Edonobori". Based on some relevant original literatures and researches of scholars at home and abroad, this paper taking backgrounds and causes of tributary of missions from Ryukyu to Edo bakufu, and makes it clear that the types and sizes of Ryukyu missions, which can reveal the intricate relationships hid behind tributary between Japan, Satsuma and Ryukyu. Made us clearly see the Japanese would like to set up a "Japanese style tributary system". Then replace the China’s ambitions. Tributary Edo behavior for the 1879 Japan annexed the Ryukyu buried the foreshadowing.
