Abstract:"Le Nozze di Figaro" is one of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s most influential operas. As one of the arias by Figaro, "Se Vuol Ballare" perfectly captures the hero’s character with its dramatic tension and high spirits. This paper is a comparative study of the two singing editions of "Se Vuol Ballare" respectively by Hermann Prey, a German baritone, and by Bryn Terfel, a Welsh baritone, with a view to bringing out music elements underlying the two singing editions. |
