| From the perspective of cultural aesthetics point of view, this paper is based on Lin Yutang’s text of prose.With the use of inductive method, literature reference method and comprehensive method and the basis of reading the originals of Lin Yutang’s prose, it discusses his cultural aesthetics on the four aspects:aesthetic cultural characteristics, cultural aesthetic characteristics, cultural foundation and cultural dimensions, cultural aesthetic integration, to show the unique charm of China’s traditional cultural in Lin Yutang’s prose. It also tries to locate the modernity and the interpretation of its cultural aesthetic value and find the modern significance of cultural aesthetics of LinYutang’s prose.The full paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter mainly talks about the aesthetic cultural characteristics of Lin Yutang’s prose from the three aspects of Confucianism, Taoism and traditional culture. The second chapter is the focus of the full paper.It mainly talks about the cultural aesthetic characteristics of Lin Yutang’s text of prose including the cultural aesthetic style of humor and leisure, the cultural aesthetic ideal of soul and harmonious, the cultural personality of freedom and individuality. The third chapter mainly talks about the cultural foundation and cultural dimensions of Lin Yutang’s text of prose. Christianty, Confucianism and Taoism provide three dimensions of the cultural aesthetic of Lin Yutang’s prose:divinity and belief,rationality and moral, aesthetic and emotional. The forth chapter mainly talks about the cultural aesthetic integration of Lin Yutang’s text of prose and discusses his cultural integration ideas.It approves his contributions to the exchange of Chinese and Western culture.The last chapter summarises the modern significance of the cultural aesthetics of Lin Yutang’s prose. It approves the important reference of his cultural aesthetic ideas on equality, balanced, harmonious development mode of cultural and riches the research on the cultural aesthetics since the new period. |
