Research On The Political Ethics Thought Of Xunzi

Hsun Tsu lived in the late Warring States Period. Based on the various schools of thought in the critical inherence, Hsun Tsu, whose essence of thinking is embodied in the book of Xunzi, advanced the profound realistic connotation of political ethics thought.With the change of agricultural production and the development of economic, it came up a new evaluation coordinate for people to redefine the value of a man and to refresh the value of the human society. Hsun Tsu inherited Confucianism’s tradition and developed it with Legalism’s realistic character. He established a system of political theories, which includes a wealth of political ethics ideology. Based on ‘ understanding the distinction between heaven and human’ and ‘man is evil by nature’, Hsun Tsu developed a realistic political ethics theory. As a theoretical system, Hsun Tsu’s idea about heaven and human is deeply rooted in the social reality of that time.Such way of thinking makes him try hard to carry out the political general plan which mixes rite and law, meanwhile considering them as the core of the political ideal. It is elucidated and enriched from different directions continuously in the evolution of philosophy and provide a useful reference for today’s Political Construction.
