Ang lee is a high-profile and internationally acclaimed Chinese director, he studied in the United States as a youth experience made him a perfect interpretation of the Chinese director of American culture. His family trilogy the "pushing hand" "the wedding banquet" and "eat drink man woman" are from Chinese and western relationships between generations, children education, as well as love and marriage and so on other several aspects to explore the family ethics conflict between Chinese and America.The difference of Chinese and western family ethics is in many ways, because of different cultures, different ideas, different historical development, caused some differences about the way of children education, the tradition of supporting the elderly, the choice of marriage and the freedom of divorce are differents. To investigate the conflict of Chinese and western family ethics of Ang lee’s movies can help us better find a way to solve the conflict in the family.In the contemporary Chinese society there are a lot of family conflicts and fators challenge Chinese tadition. Such as the lack of "filial piety" consciousness weak, the happening of the phenomenon of elder abuse, family values and the emergence of the phenomenon of family violence. These problems cause serious damage to the social harmony. So to find the right solutions from the Ang lee’s films becomes extremely important and urgent. Strengthen the family members of the family sense of responsibility, pay attention to the concept of filial piety and reverence, in addition to the Chinese excellent tradition, at the same time in the west attaches great importance to the interests of the individual and value ideas is an essence of Ang lee to show humanistic care.
