This translation practice report is a general description and analysis of my translation from the novel of Kill Again by Neal Baer and Jonathan Greene. I was commissioned by Beijing Alpha Books Co. Inc to translate it. And it took me 4 months to complete this task. After I submitted the translation to the managing editor, the feedback was that the translation is basically faithful, smooth and the style is similar to that of the original. This report consists of five parts—Task Description, Process Description, Preparations before Translation, Case Analysis and Practice Summary, among which Case Analysis is the core. The first two parts are a generalization of the source, content, requirement and process of this task and the information of translating and revising process. The third part of Preparations before Translation elaborates the preparations made by the author from five aspects. The Case Analysis part describes how I rendered literary works as perfectly as I can to reproduce and express the ideas, style and artistic conception of the original authors according to the three translating principles of meaning transference, acceptability and similarity and literary works translating principle.Through the practice, the author has realized that literary translation is a process of artistic re-creation. Translators should do as best as he can to improve the similarity to the original text. Namely, literary translation requires is a higher requirement for translators in faculty of understanding and ability of expressing.
