This dissertation looks deeply into Weigang Peng’s methodology of education, who is a distinguished professor and educator in the area of vocal music.The essay is divided into four chapters: in the first chapter it will describe Peng’s experience of art, and education. Then, for the second chapter it will expound Peng’s method of breath training in vocal music education, covering three-dimensional, five degrees, and octave training methods. The third chapter will focus on the resonance training of Peng’s vocal music education, training methods of hum resonance and falsetto are included. Finally, this essay will take Lihua Wang and Mucun Guan, who are Peng’s students as well as celebrated songsters examples, analyzing his synthetical training methods of liaison, vowel, pizzicato, and the application into singing.The aim of this dissertation is to generalize and summarize Professor Peng’s teaching methods of vocal music education, with a purpose to benifit current education of vocal music through the research.
