| This review-based thesis attempts to research 92 academic articles about metaphor translation by adopting qualitative and quantitative methods. These papers are all from domestic core journals of Peking University Library published from 1993 to 2015 and can be indexed by Chinese Social Sciences Citation Index(CSSCI). This thesis based on the collected data and findings from the analyzed articles, aims to evaluate the situation of domestic metaphor translation in a systematic manner, analyze limitations and deficiencies of the current research, and propose a number of feasible suggestions to promote the development of researches in domestic metaphor translation.Metaphorical issues are still a tough problem in the field of Translation Studies and how to accurately convey the deeper implications from the source language to the target language has been an arduous task for translators. Based on this fact, it is necessary to review and analyze the current research of domestic metaphor translation.This thesis not only illustrates what has achieved by Chinese scholars in this area, but also gives reasonable comments on this issue according to the limitations and flaws existing in the current researches, with the aim of providing some suggestions to the domestic later researches and making contributions to the researches in domestic metaphor translation. |
