The English-chinese Translation Of Cultural Competence And Cultural Compensatory Mechanism In Binational Households And A Report On The Translation

The thesis consists of three parts, the source text of Cultural Competence and Cultural Compensatory Mechanism in Binational Households, its Chinese version translated by the author and a report on translation. The source text analyzes the effects exerted by the different cultural backgrounds of the family members on the consumption of family members and the family consumption decisions. The Chinese version is expected to provide domestic researchers with some latest materials for reference and help to guide the family consumption and the marketing activities. And the translation process deepens the translator’s understanding of translation theories as well as improving her translation skills.In the translation report, the author and translator introduces some basic information about the source text, analyzes its characteristics and cites some examples to explain how she has been trying to translate to the best effect under the guidance of the Skopos Theory. It is held that the Skopos Theory is of significance to the translation of practical texts.
