Story-allusions refer to the ancient stories referenced in the poem and essay. Not all the ancient stories, however, can be identified as story-allusions. Firstly,story-allusions should be narrative, which is the biggest difference from the language quotations. Secondly, the form of story-allusions should be condensed enough, it is one of the necessary conditions which makes the allusion source developed into the story-allusion. Lastly, story-allusions should be well-known. Because story-allusions are generated during be familiar to people. This essay is studied about the formation of story-allusions from the following three aspects:Firstly,this paper selected Zhao Ming Selected Works as the specimen to discuss the foundation of story-allusions and analyzed the usage of story-allusions. Prime, it analyzed the pre-Tang usage of story-allusions according to the era: Late Zhou Dynasty, Western Han and Eastern Han Dynasties, Wei-Jin Southern and Northern Dynasty. It analyzed the development and change of story-allusions during these periods. Then it studied the distribution of literary forms of story-allusions usage,which include the ode, the prose, the rhythmical prose characterized by parallelism and ornateness and the poetry. Story-allusions are differently shown in these forms.Finally, it researched the the distribution of allusion source of story-allusion usages:the historical literature and zhu-zi proses.Secondly, it investigated the evolution logic of story-allusions from three aspects:the category- subordinate of Late Zhou, the category- assembly of Han, and the interaction between heart and nature during Wei-Jin Southern and Northern Dynasty.Under the influence of the category- reaction theory in Late Zhou, story-allusions put the category- subordinate as the way of thinking, had seek the rationale of development; In Han, story-allusions formed the category- assembly character under the effects of gas-category theory,that is multiple congeneric story-allusions gathered to form a unit of meaning: multiple story-allusions gathered into on group.While, after Wei-Jin, the category- reaction theory came into being. Produced by it aretwo mechanisms, they are the contented ties of matter and the interaction between heart and nature,which made a contribution to the foundation of story-allusions. In brief, story-allusions were shaped and amended with the three theories.Thirdly, story-allusions have three basic morphological characteristics: The familiarity, concise and flexible. Story-allusions were shaped after be quoted so many times that they were well-known by people.From the allusion source turning to the story-allusion, formed allusion-words,a certain concision and concentration is needed.So a story-allusion should be concise. As for the flexibility, one allusion-multiple allusion sources or one allusion source-several allusions showed this feature during all the foundation process and the usage period. And after the story-allusions be formed,its using skills showed strong flexibility as well.The study of story-allusions is significant in Chinese Literature. It not only showed the characteristics and regularity during its evolution, but also provided new ways and more directions to the study of Chinese literature such as Poetic evolution and Novel evolution. There are some similarities among the researches. It enriched the foundation of ancient Chinese Literature system.
