Allusions Of Yuan Zhen's Poems Research

So far, the study about YuanZhen in academia has mainly focused on several fixed aspects, such as his personality, his marital status, theory of poetry advocated by him and novels. Allusion, as a very important literary phenomenon about YuanZhen's poetries, has always been neglected. YuanZhen used a number of allusions in his poetries which are famous for simplicity poetic style. This thesis studied about the allusions used in YuanZhen's existing poetries through a comprehensive and systematical investigation of them to reveal the characteristics of the allusions used in his poetries and the connotations of the allusions.There are 1156 obvious allusions in YuanZhen ' s poems which are quoted from Confucian classics, history, philosophy and belles-letters, and they can be divided into two basic kinds of quotations, story quotation and language quotation. The language quotations are mainly from the book of songs, chu ", "the analects", their essays, all kinds of historical records and the former generation of poetry; while the story quotations can be roughly divided into the Taoist, the Buddha and the myths and legends, politicians, celebrities and hermit,outlaw hero classes, and literary writers, female, music, etc. Through a careful organization and classificatory observing, you can find that YuanZhen's characteristic about allusion and his thought tendency.The above are the main points in the first and second parts of this thesis, while it will be focus on the characteristics of allusions used in YuanZhen's poetries and his thoughts. There are a number of allusions in YuanZhen's poetries whose style is unique. The allusions are well-arranged in his poetry. Some poetries are full of allusions which some are rare, even none. For the specific quotation style, YuanZhen makes good use of sentence group,For the style of quotation, YuanZhen is good at using sentence group to show the story;using both of the quotations to express the thoughts and ideas. There are five kinds of though ts and connotations of the allusions in YuanZhen's poetries,namely:wish for social farewell,unsatisfactory for frustration,psychology needs for self protection,deep friendship,sorrow for the death of his wife and children.
