The Countermeasures Study Of Cross-cultural Adaptation Training For Chinese Volunteer Teachers To Thailand

With the increasing reinforcement of Chinese economic strength and the deepening of China-Thailand relations, the number of Chinese volunteer teachers to Thailand sent by Hanban has been increasing every year. Cross-cultural adaptability of Chinese volunteer teachers to Thailand is directly related to whether they can smoothly work and live in Thailand. So the countermeasures study of Chinese volunteer teachers to Thailand in the training of cross-cultural adaptability is needed by Chinese international education. The number of studies on the cross-cultural adaptation is much, but the number of the countermeasures study specifically focusing on Chinese volunteer teachers to Thailand in the training of cross-cultural adaptability is seldom.On the basis of the domestic and overseas research theories, the paper combines with the actual cases. From the existing common problems of Chinese volunteer teachers to Thailand in cross-cultural adaptation, it deeply analyzes the elements of cross-cultural adaptability of Chinese volunteer teachers in Thailand, especially particularly expounds the specific performances of the elements in cross-cultural adaptability, and then makes Chinese volunteer teachers in Thailand to fully understand the cross-culture adaptability and how to cultivate cross-cultural adaptability. Therefore, the paper puts forward three training and learning stages, such as the preparation period in school, the training period after the selection and the period after going to Thailand, and combines with the actual cases to summarize the suggestions and countermeasures about Chinese volunteer teachers to Thailand in the training of the cross-cultural adaptability.Chapter 1 is the introduction, which briefly describes the research background and research significance in the cross-cultural adaptability training of Chinese volunteer teachers in Thailand. This chapter discusses the domestic and overseas research development of cross-cultural adaptability as a whole, and the existing shortcomings of researches and the significance for further research.Chapter 2 expounds the specific contents of the cross-cultural adaptability. From the cross-cultural self-regulation ability, the cross-culture communicative ability and the ability of learning and applying Thai culture, this chapter describes the content in detail.Chapter 3 introduces the most common cross-cultural unadapted problems caused by the lack of cross-cultural adaptability, such as the pressure, a sense of loss, feelings of exclusion and a sense of confusion by the demand of the psychological adjustment in the new environment.Chapter 4 studies the training countermeasure, and it is the key point of this paper. It mainly studies how the Office of Chinese Language Council and universities train the Chinese volunteer teachers and self-training, and then puts forward the corresponding countermeasures. Combining with the actual cases and according to the elements of cross-cultural adaptability, it divides the training into three stages. Then, according to the time sequence, it respectively expounds the training scheme from “in school”, “centralism training” to “after going to Thailand”, and summarizes a series of feasible methods and experience.Chapter 5 is the suggestion and prospect. This chapter summarizes the related suggestions, and hopes these ideas and training countermeasures mentioned in the paper can enlighten relevant departments and Chinese volunteer teachers to cultivate more Chinese volunteer teachers with the great cross-cultural adaptability and make greater contribution to completing the international promotion task of Chinese.
