With the development of Chinese economy, the improvement of comprehensivenational strength, and with foreign economic and cultural exchanges have becomemore frequent, many countries want to learn Chinese. In order to meet this demand,Chinese volunteers selection by hanban, after training, are sent to many country forChinese teaching, in addition to work outside Chinese volunteers themselves have toface cross-cultural adaptation, this article aim to volunteers who go to Thailand asthe research object, by adopting the combination of quantitative research andqualitative research methods, in-depth exploration to the cross-cultural adaptation ofChinese volunteers.Put forward in this paper, the research question, through quantitative analysisfound that (1) Chinese volunteers to surpass expectations and correlated with theadaptation of Chinese volunteers hypothesis;(2) the Chinese volunteers to differentindividual differences and cross-cultural adaptation has a significant differencebetween this assumption is not set up;(3) participate in Thai society culturaladaptation degree and the adapt to the situation of Chinese volunteers havesignificant difference hypothesis. After analysis of the quantitative research’s data, isthe qualitative analysis interview. Finally, the author gives some advice to the futurevolunteers, such as the expectation and attitude to the new country,further improvethe level of Thai language and so on.
