The Research Of “Southern Music Association”in Xiyi’an Village,Laishui County,Hebei Province

“Music Association” was once an ancient music type which existed widely among the people of Hebei province. The Music Association of Heibei can be categorized into Music Association(also called “Northern Music Association”)and “Southern Music Association”(also known as “Blowing Songs Association”). Southern Music Association is just a branch of Heibei Music Association’s system. It has many common characteristics with Music Association in the number of staff and the structure of music community while differentiate in configured music, songs, occasion, style of performance, social function, cultural connotation and so on.Based on field work of Southern Music Association in Xi Yi’an, Laishui county, Hebei province, this thesis made a description and analysis of the environment, system, organizations of music community, forms of music culture and the contradictions and conflicts which are inevitable during the transformation of society. It described the unknown folk music organizations and the life of folk music culture. This thesis adopted the theory of ethnomusicology to conclude and explain problems and used the author’s survey about the present situation of Southern Music Association in Xi Yi’an and previous research findings for reference.This thesis focused on the forms of music culture in Xi Yian’s Southern Music Association and analyzed the Southern Music Association in the round based on the development of history and current situation. The Subjects of this thesis are repertoire of Music Association’s songs, constitutes of music band, organizations of music community, ways of inheriting, the social cultural value of Music Association which coexist with etiquette and custom and how to protect the abundant cultural relics.
