The analysing of otherness thought, based on deconstruction philosophy of the subjective philosophy, is a research about the use of “otherness” in the western feminist literary critical theory. Based on the study of “otherness” in the contexts of traditional(Beauvoir, Simone de) and the postmodern French feminist literary critical theories, this thesis is to realize the profound value of the feminist literary critical theory on the background of the deconstructing philosophy denies, breaks through rational subject; philosophers construct a new subject. All in all, this thesis is to construe an integration of the diversified sayings and multi-angle grand narrative strategies after deconstructing unified narratives in feminist literary critical theory. Furthermore, this thesis is expected to enrich the study of feminist literary criticism theory and promote the deep value of contemporary feminist literary criticism theory. In the first part of this thesis, the author intends to clarify the ideological and philosophical basis of “otherness” in feminist theory by observing “general others and otherness issues” and “otherness thought” in the deconstruction philosophy. The author finds that ideological background of “otherness” in feminist literary criticism theory is the rejection and breakthrough of modern and postmodern philosophies in a variety of ways. The philosophical basis of “otherness thought” is that deconstruction philosophy denies the subjective philosophy. In the second part, the author does research on “otherness” thought in traditional feminism and postmodern feminism. On the basis of the integrated and comprehensive understanding of feminist otherness concept, the author of this thesis summarizes the contributions made by the otherness concept of traditional feminism and postmodern feminism and studies the literary value of “otherness” in the feminist literary critical theory. During the observation, the author of this thesis finds that the traditional feminism, with Beauvoir Simone de as the leader, stresses the limitations of the inhesion and absoluteness of otherness concept, appealing feminists to get over “otherness” dilemma and have a good relationship with the males to create an ideal society. Its main features are denying and surpassing otherness dilemma. In the study of “otherness” in postmodern feminism, with Kristeva as the leader, the author of this thesis finds that they stressed the superiority of existence, thought, and narrating with the usage of otherness styles which could make the thought of duality subjective and objective. They intend to liberate females with the main features of respecting and protecting them.Third part, it is the summary of surpassing “other” and respecting “other” based on the feminist literary critical theory. It is the just clue of the diversity and differentiation of narrating strategy in feminist critical theory. Therefore, the author of this thesis concludes the influence of the “other” thought in the feminist critical theory to literary criticism as follows: to enrich the styles and features of literary criticism follows the feminist literary critical theory; to enrich the methods and contents of feminist literary criticism; to deepen the feminist criticism. In the last part, the author summarizes the findings of this thesis. It is undeniable that the author’s limited research level and research identity is the subjective reasons in analyzing the materials and the frame of the research. Further research of this thesis lies in: applying the thought and method of postmodern feminism in traditional feminism, uniting their theories and practice, and finding a way out to the contemporary feminist literary theory.
