Liu Cixin is one of the most famous science fiction writers in China. His works present not only the magnificent uptopia based on technological beauty,but also reflect china’s cultural appeals in the progressing of Chinese contemporary history on the background of Globalization.The purpose of this article is to analyze the construction of uptopia and explore aesthetic style in his texts. At the meantime,by reviewing the theme of national renaissance which comes along with the birth of Chinese science fiction in the late of Qing Dynasty and homeland consciousness, it will provid how the two factors contribute to the cultural nostalgia which existing in Liu Cixin’s science fiction.Chapter one discusses briefly the construction of uptopia in the history of science fiction,then focus on intensive reading of the Li Cixin’s text, analyzing homeland consciousness in his technological aesthetics.These can reflect unique art style of Liu Cixin’s works,two different kinds of cultural nostalgia space creating in the fiction and aesthetic ideology in all his works.Chapter two describes two historical contexts that are rooted in the Chinese science fiction constitute the background of Liu Cixin’s works.And it also explores the culture shock and nostalgia which brings by the enlightment happening in China history.Chpater three illustrates on the background of Globalization, by regarding Liu Cixin’s science fiction as representative texts, it discusses how Chinese contemporary science fiction literary creation finde their own cultural identity from Western universalism discourse and construct the imagination world belong to contemporary China.
