Research On Fantasy And Reality In Liu Cixin’s Science Fiction

If literary studies are on the fringe of today’s humanities and social sciences,then research on science fiction literature is on the fringe beyond the fringe.Compared with the unpopular research of Chinese science fiction literature,Chinese contemporary science fiction is deeply welcomed by readers at home and abroad.As of August 2019,Liu Cixin’s long-form science fiction "Threebody" trilogy sold more than 21 million copies worldwide and sold more than 1.5 million copies overseas.And Liu Cixin’s science fiction has become a rare phenomenon-level literature in recent years.Although the research on Chinese science fiction literature has become more and more abundant in recent years,most researchers have started from utopian theories and modernity issues.They attach importance to the future significance of science fiction literature and ignore the rich literary imagination space in Chinese science fiction literature and its impact on real society Strong criticism and reflection.In view of this,I believe that it is very necessary to carry out multi-angle and multi-faceted investigations on the construction of scientific fantasy in Chinese science fiction and the intention of caring behind it.Liu Cixin’s science fiction has special and important significance for the development of Chinese science fiction.This article takes all the science fiction works created by Liu Cixin so far as the research object,and adopts vertical combing and horizontal comparison,external research and internal research,text reading and theoretical interpretation.Combined methods,a comprehensive exposition on Liu Cixin’s science fiction novels,and explore the concrete connotation of science fiction in his science fiction novels and the realistic care intentions behind them.There are five parts in this paper,the main content and views are as follows:The introduction part mainly sorts out Liu Cixin’s science fiction creation and research status,fully analyzes and summarizes the existing research results and existing problems in academia,and briefly states the significance and research value of the selected topic.The first chapter focuses on putting the basic elements of literature "fantasy" and "reality" into the domain of science fiction,discussing the uniqueness of "fantasy" and "reality" in science fiction.It not only cleans up and clarifies the opinions of all parties arising from the dispute between the science fiction surname "Science" and surname "Wen" in the 1980 s,but also analyzes the concepts of science fiction and fantasy,fantasy,magic,etc.The sci-fi literary ideas "Sci-Fi Realism" and "Sci-Fi Futurism" put forward by the local people also made necessary expositions.The main part of the second chapter is to investigate and analyze the landscape of "fantasy" and "reality" in the text of Liu Cixin’s science fiction novels.This chapter draws on the series of concepts of "cognition,alienation,novelty" in Dakota Suenwen,and explores the path of the fusion of fantasy and reality in Liu Cixin’s science fiction novels,that is,how to build a distance from social reality through the cognitive laws of modern basic science The world of science fiction,and further explained the multiple themes in Liu Cixin’s science fiction,the construction of cosmic poetics and narrative skills from multiple angles to explore the true connotation of Liu Cixin’s science fiction and the creative intention behind it.The third chapter analyzes Liu Cixin’s consciousness of enlightenment in science fiction and his modern apocalypse as criticism and cognition to reveal the realism orientation and humanistic care in his novel.The chapter emphasizes that as a stalwart of traditional science fiction,Liu Cixin pays special attention to the changes of science and technology to the destiny of mankind and the dark side of science and technology.He calls on humans to "see more in the universe".The conclusion part summarizes the main content of the thesis,briefly summarizes the unique connotation of "fantasy" and "reality" in Liu Cixin’s science fiction,the path of fusion of fantasy and reality,and the intention of realism care in science fiction,points out Liu Cixin’s unique contribution and significance in the creation of contemporary science fiction literature,and in this way reiterated the writing ethics of science fiction literature.This part also declares the shortcomings of this paper.
