The Research On The Application Of The Traditional Culture Symbols In Chinese Film And Television Works Under The Background Of Globalization And Modernization

Today, globalization is affecting the survival and development of national culture. As a result, traditional culture inevitably faced with such a dilemma – be dismembered or even eliminated by strong culture and commercial culture assimilation, resulting in the national culture is extruded by the exotic culture, and its cultural market has been occupied, and even lead to the loss of "national discourse right". In such a grim situation, the connotation of traditional culture, through root-seeking, examining and exploring the connotation of traditional culture, to explore the extension and innovation of the globalization and the modernization of the traditional culture symbols – the research on this topic highlights its significance and value. The scope of the research is limited to C hinese film and television works, since which is the important medium of expressing and spreading the traditional culture under the background of globalization and modernization.According to the research logic, this paper is discussed by rethinking and mining – inheriting and spreading – the extension and innovation of the traditional culture symbols in film and television works. The main body of this paper consists of five parts:The first part is the introduction of this article. This chapter mainly elaborates the background and significance of the research topic, research object and scope definition, and the research status of related research, the innovation points and the research methods of this paper.The second part is to clarify the concepts related to this article. In this chapter, the author attempts to clarify the meaning of culture and traditional culture, demonstrated by the relationship between symbols and culture, in order to clarify the construction of culture and exploring culture, a symbol as the starting point of justification, but also good theoretical basis for the further research.The third part is about the classic film and television works and cultural root-seeking consciousness. First, the author discusses the emergence of the root-seeking consciousness is due to reflection on "modern culture", which formed by the modernization of society. Next, the author discusses the relationship between the film and television works and the traditional culture. And then explored the significance and effect of root-seeking consciousness in the film and television works.The fourth part is to explore the classic film and television works in the traditional culture of the archetypes. The author takes Carl Jung’s "archetypes" theory as the basis, taking the Ang Lee films – "father trilogy" for example, to explore the evolution of the archetypes as well as communication effects of archetypes presented in film and television works.The fifth part is to explore the extension and innovation of the traditional culture symbol in the classical film and television works. The author discusses how to realize effective communication of film and television works. Because in the modernization and globalization background, the traditional cultural symbols take film and television works as the carrier, is extensioning to the direction of modernlization and globalization. At last, the expression of the traditional cultural and creative symbols in the film and television works is summarized and discussed.The sixth part is the conclusion of this paper. The author summarizes the results of this research, and then puts forward the expression strategy of the traditional culture in the film and television works in the context of globalization and modernization.
