Study On Preserved Carvings Of Dramatic Scenes Of The Song And King Dynasties In Shanxi

The Song & Jin dynasties established the maturity of Chinese drama art, of which, the most representative one is the Song drama. As the economical development of the Song dynasty, the Song drama performance also began a period of blossom, which infused great vigor to the Song cultural life. At present, there has been great achievement concerning the Song & Jin drama study in the academia, yet the focus is involved with the drama scripts, structure and content. As a stage performance art, there will be remarkable deficiency in the drama art if the roles and performing scenarios are neglected. The thesis, referring to the research method of musical images, intends to make the research of the opera study with the purpose of bring people more live feeling.The Shanxi during the Song & Jin, was one of the most prosperous artistic centers. Lots of drama cultural relics and images have been preserved there. Since 1950, many Jin tombs were excavated in the southern part of Shanxi, in which a large number brick engravings in the drama performance, as natural as though it were living, provide us with valuable image materials. Inspired by that, the thesis intends to start with the research topic of "The Study on the Preserved Drama images During The Song & Jin Dynasties in Shanxi", through which established a comprehensive study of the drama images during the Song & Jin.To do the research, a serial of field investigation to Xinjiang, Jishan, Houma, Wenxi, Yuncheng, Huanqu, etc were done and collected large amount of drama images from the tomb relics. On the basis of the comprehensive arrangement and statistics, a thorough discussion concerning its performing modalities, bands and instruments as well as its structural varieties, artistic centers and spreading is done.The creativities of the research lie in the following 5 points:1. the number of collected drama images amounts to 171, of which,45 are newly found, which provides a more comprehensive picture of the Song & Jin drama2. the roles such as "gu" "dan" "fujing" "fumo" "moni" etc. are defined basing on the images, which fills the blank of drama research.3. textual research is made concerning the early band performance and instrument allocation, particularly, the research of the instrument "bili" is done, which revises the conclusion of the present study.4. Chapter four the study on the instrument allocation of band performa nee5. the new study aspect of artistic development center and spreading is made relying on the drama images of the Song & Jin by referring to the conception of cultural geography.As a conclusion, the thesis made a comprehensive study and discussion basing on the collected drama images during the Song & Jin, and provided some new viewpoints and findings, by which, more attention on the drama images are drawn on and some new research perspectives of the drama art are proposed.
