Under The Environment Of Contemporary Art Space For New Specie

New species of spaces in contemporary art is the concept of space in exhibitions of contemporary art museums. In the age of globalization, the boundaries between any two kinds of arts have been getting vague, and more specifically, the contents of arts have been changed, so have its modes of presentations. The combination of contemporary art and architecture has successfully stopped traditional art museums from declining, for the exhibition space in contemporary arts not longer simply refers to the display of artworks and the main area for the audience, it’s also a main part of art museum, shouldering on the responsibility of carrying the history and future.This paper, after investigations and analysis of reform examples of new species of spaces in contemporary art---exhibition space, aims to briefly conclude contemporary art’s and the museums’history, features and problems they’re facing, then based on which the author tired to propose a renovation plan for contemporary art museums; from the perspectives of cultural heritage, comparison of ancient and modern arts, transformation of space and transformation, the author tied to find out a common ground in the development of art, and based on which, she worked out a design idea that art and space derive from each other, and rely on each other. By decoding, reforming and recreating the ways of art exhibitions, the author made them more contemporary; this paper focused on the nature of art, instead any exaggerated parts of it, which suggests the author considered the combination of art and space, relationship between artists and their works, as well as relationship between curators and contemporary space.The functionality, namely multiple exhibition functions, should be attached more importance in the renovation of contemporary art space. There’s large particularity in modes of presentation of contemporary art. Both virtual space and entity space suggest the epochal character and particularity of new species of spaces. As era changes, development of art would be more fashionable. As new technology and new media continues to emerge, presentation modes of art exhibition will be improved and created constantly.The author, by her investigating and analyzing, hopes to provide some referential experience about exhibition space renovation, for those participants in contemporary art.
