“The city” is the survival space for human. Now most people are wild about the pure pastoral scenery, the theme of city landscape painting in the contemporary art seems to be insignificant and get into a dangerous situation. Yet, as art creators,we are truly living in the city that we don’t care much about and also really affected by her dribs and drabs. Any change of the city life will affect the sensitive nerve of an artist and they want to present the perception to their works urgently.Urban landscape is a city’s culture and spirit’s historical precipitation,and the purpose of my creation is to express the unique spirit of urban landscape from using the modern personalized expression and choosing the different aspects of urban landscape through the understanding and study of the urban cultural history as well as personal interest and attention. This is the inheritance and innovation of the contemporary oil painting creation manifestation that put the urban landscape as an oil painting dissertation to study. With urban object as the prototype, the city culture as the soul, based on contemporary techniques, can we get inspiration and motivation, then create and enrich the oil painting pattern of manifestation and language.Emphasize the status of urban landscape in the contemporary expressive paintings, arouse more people to pay attention to urban culture and focus on urban landscape, to create a unique aesthetic orientation.The contemporary performance of the urban landscape face to the real life of the city, with the expression of the contemporary oil painting creation, selecting different objects of the city for trade-offs, refining and refactoring, to express the modern aesthetic feeling of the urban landscape that specific to the natural scenery.
