The Studying Of Infant-Raising Business Of Hunan Province In The Qing Dynasty(1662-1911)

Qing Dynasty was the heyday of the development of China’s ancient Salesian. Under the instruction of the the Qing Government and active participation of local officials and people, the Country established a large number of orphanage, raising and funding a large baby, had a major impact in the community. Hunan is an important area of the Infanct-Raising Business development in the Qing Dynasty and it has distinct regional characteristics. Currently, studies of the Infant-Raising Business in Hunan Province is not in-depth, lacking of the specifically and integrity research. Taking the advantage of nusery Chi and local history as the main material, this paper, thorough case studies of the Infant-Raising business in Hunan Province in the Qing Dynasty, explored the changes of the Infant-Raising Business and the evolution of historical influence on local society.Three parts were included in this paper, Introduction, Body and Conclusion. The Introduction part illustrated the reasons and significance of selecting the thesis, current researches of it and research ideas. The body divided into four parts, respectively discussed the following issues:the first chapter expounded the development situation of the Infanct-Raising Business in Hunan province. Firstly, traces thedevelopment history of Salesian career in ancient China, secondly, use the local chronicles and nusery Chi for materials, statistical the number of orphanage in Hunan Province and individual rescue baby’s activities,lastly, based on actual development situation in different periods, it could be divided into four stage-rise, climax, waste and restruction,rehabilitation and deepening. The second chapter explores the operational management of the Infant-Raising Business in Hunan Province, this chapter through organizational form, personnel management, baby management and financial management of these four aspects from orphanage to spy on the operations management of the Infant-Raising Business in Hunan Province in the Qing Dynasty. The management of the Infanct-Raising Business in Hunan is specification, showing great flexibility characteristics. The third chapter analyzes the formation mechanism of the Infant-Raising Business, First, the drowning baby girl and famine phenomenon is the direct cause of the Infant-Raising Business,second, Qing government’s attention and active support from local officials is an important reason to promote the infant-Raising Business flourished in Hunan, last, leading to goodness idea and book spread in Hunan in the Qing Dynasty is the ideological basis of the Infant-Raising Business generated. The fourth chapter made an objective evaluation for the development of the Infant-Raising Business in Hunan Province in the Qing Dynasty, the development of the infant-Raising Business not onlyraising relief a large number of baby, but also reduce the drowing baby girl abuse to some extent, change social customs better, stabilize the local social order and resulting in a positive impact. But while the developing of the Infant-Raising Business has inevitable limitations, such as uneven development, Baby high mortality, in some areas drowing baby girl is unbreakable; these are limited to the development of the Infant-Raising Business in Hunan Province. The Conclusion part summarized the main ideas of this paper and describes the revelation for today.
