Researching On Interpretation Of Yupian(《玉篇》)

Yupian(《玉篇》)written by the Southern Dynasties Gu Ye Wang is one of the most important books after"Shuowen Jiezi".It is also the first regular script dictionary in history of our country.After it was finished,because of its too much content,Yupian was revised several times.The current edition has changed a lot compared with the original one.AC760,the book was amended by Sunqiang.Then the book is called Shangyuan edition.To bc1013,Chen Pengnian,Wu Rui,and Qiu Yong were ordered to modify the edition based on Sun Qiang’s.This edition is known as“Guangyi edition”,which is also called“Da guang yi hui yu pian”.Otherwise,there are some chapters of the copy in Japan,which may be the the first edition.The edition which is studied in this paper is“Da guang yi hui yu pian”,which is also called Yupian of the Song dynasty.In this paper,we study from interpretations of Yupian and interpretations in detail by trawing all kinds of literature and using the knowledge of Phonology, philology, philology,and Exegetics.The paper consists of five parts:the first part is the the general theory.This part introduces the author, the book, editions, research status research methods and significance of Yupian;the second part consists the introduction to interpretations,including the quantity, style, characteristics of interpretations in Yupian.;the third chapter mainly explains the sourcesof interpretations in Yupian;the fourth chapter introduces the types of the losts interpretations of Yupian;the last also the main part consists textual criticisms and explanations.The main breakthrough and innovation is that through describing various aspects of interpretations of Yupian,this paper clear the characteristics of diffcult interpretations, ease out deficiencies of interpretations of Yupian,and improve the correct understanding of this important dictionary.This paper can enrich the reasearch material of interpretations of Yupian and provide the reference for the textual research of other the ancient dictionaries.It can also make a contribution to the compilation of other dictionaries and the building of the corpus.
