The painting language is an art language that can express visualized art. Painters can develop different painting styles and skills by training and practice. Since the painting language is a method of shaping images, artists can express artistic conceptions and the diversification of combination of various forms by lines, light and shades, color, brushwork, levels, space and other basic elements.Watercolor gives us a sense of clarity, fluency and beauty,by the use of water and pigment on water-absorbing paper, while the wood block shows the strong comparison of white and black, beauty of engraved strength and purity of color. Simplicity is the characteristic of both art forms. We can add the wood block language into the watercolor creating, by the mastery of dots and lines, simplification of colors, and comparison of space. This will give us a better understanding of the whole picture.By combining different materials, yet allowing the independence of their unique aesthetic characteristics, we can create unexpected art languages and effects.
