A Dream in Red Mansions, one of China’s four greatest classics, was regarded as China’s most literary achievements of classical fiction so that it initiated an independent research academic discipline- Redology. In the 87 version of the TV series A Dream in Red Mansions, every twinkle and smile has become the classic symbol of the era. The first time that I was really attracted by it was that I heard the song Hope Betrayed. Her music, poetry completely attracted me so that I quickly remembered the lyrics, and then searched for the whole lyrics and couldn’t wait to learn it.That was the first time when I walked into A Dream in Red Mansions’ s music. From Hope Betrayed, Song of the Burial of Flowers to all of her works, I was interested in A Dream in Red Mansions greatly. The interest led me to explore what the story it was to match it since the music was supremely elegant. That aroused my interest in music study on A Dream of Red Mansions.This thesis is going to study these songs from the lyrics, melody, singing methods, the background of literary interpretation and so on and illustrate them in the angle of a singer’s understanding and interpretation of works.Thesis mainly divided into three chapters, the first chapter mainly analyzes the "a dream of red mansions" literature and film and television works.Mainly introduces the birth of music works,The second chapter mainly of a dream of red mansions music melody structure analysis. in this section Melody structure are classified according to these works, and then combined with music melody structure analysis and literature reading.The third chapter is the focus of this article section,This section to select the most representative works for the specific singing analysis.
