Entering the fairy tale world, we often encounter with a beautiful princess and a handsome prince, contact the evil stepmother and poor stepdaughter, intelligent king and cunning minister, humane father and kind-hearted children. They are the protagonist in the fairy tale world, at the same time as the carrier of culture, the different pattern of their relationships, like lover, mother and daughter, manner, parent-child, has its own unique social and cultural connotations. This article will transit "brother" relationship, which is the closest relative in the fairy tale, as the research object, the unique "brother mode" in the Lin’s brothers as the research center. And this article also analyzes the different modes of characteristics, cultural implications in traditional fairy tales, as well as the influence to Zhang Tianyi. This paper also summarizes the defects of brother models written by Zhang Tianyi, and the problem left then to the contemporary fairy tale writers. This paper includes four parts :The first part is an exploration of the roots and variation of brother model written by Zhang Tianyi. First of all, this paper gives the definition of concept of “model of brothers”, on the basis of which this article classify the brother model in traditional fairy tale, including three basic types like “harm” “ friendly” “stranger”, and then analyzes the characteristics of each model. And this paper also analysis the culturalimplications in the traditional pattern of brothers from the aspect of ethnic and religious beliefs, and from the aesthetic interest.The second part analyzes the traditional inheritance of the “brothers model”. It mainly be written from three aspects. The first is shape of “flat characters” method, which is a traditional figure of speech also be used in The Lin ’ s Brothers,the same as the traditional pattern of brothers. It creates two distinct highlight images the elder Lin and younger Lin.And then followed by the comparison of the narrative framework.The author Zhang takes the frequently-used control technique of “harm”and the “stranger” in The Lin Brothers, and to go on the story by narrative structure of putting the two brothers in a distinct contrast of their character, experience and the ending. Finally is the value orientation of praising virtue and punishing vice, which is also highlights the same value orientation in the traditional pattern of brothers.The third part, mainly explores the author’s unique of the brothers model, which mainly includes three big aspects. The first is the gameplay-liked fantasy world. The author Zhang sets up the plot of gameplay, and uses the gameplay language to construct his fantasy word.The second is “defamiliarization” artistic techniques. Include irony and grotesque. The third is the brand-new deduction, and Zhang deepen the battle of good and evil into an area of class antagonisms in The Lin Brothers, projection in the value of the social ideological field, and triesto reveal the ugly social reality in order to awake people’s consciousness of protest.The fourth part, is an analysis of the insufficient in “brothers model”.First of all, first impressions and ideas leading way of creation sear the work with illustration political ideas. Second, the work is too concentrated in the revelation of the ugly that lack of the necessary beauty in a child word.About the conclusion of the thesis, I considered how the contemporary fairy tale could create to a Chinese-style and world-influential story mode in the traditional type of story about brothers.
