Study On Protection And Development Of Traditional Village With The Continuity

Traditional village is the essence of our country’s local culture and the "living fossil" of national culture. However, most of the traditional villages are facing many problems : the disrepair of local-style dwelling houses building, the losing of intangible cultural heritage, the lag of economic development,poor infrastructure and limited utilization of tourism resources. In short, that is lack proper protection and under-utilization. It has important academic value and practical significance that seeking a way to make the traditional villages in a win-win situation of protection and development. This development mode of traditional village emphasizes the authenticity and integrity of the culture, the order of social and economic development,and good ecological environment.Continuity of the traditional village refers to the traditional villages with continuous and sustainable development potential. It includes two aspects that “continuation of protection" and "continuation of development", which is not only the inherent requirement of protection and development of traditional village, but also is the main goal of the protection and development. The protection and development of traditional village with continuity is mainly aimed for four basic aspects: tangible cultural heritage and intangible cultural heritage, natural environment, the village economy and village community. Protection and development of traditional village with continuity requires adhering to basic protection principles of authenticity and integrity, emphasizing the residents’ participation, the linkage of the heritage protection funds and the law of protection, laying stress on goals of characteristic and sustainable economy and social development. To achieve protection and development of traditional village with the continuity may choose to carry on the organic renewal path focused on the living environment improvement, the road of tourism sustainable development that emphasizes on the protection of village heritage and utilization of resources, the way that seeking village agriculture modernization, the pattern that strengthening the intangible cultural heritage in the development of innovation and industrialization, the "ecological museum" mode that aimed for the authenticity and integrity protection of heritage.Ding village of Shan Xi Province has the honorary title of “Chinese traditional village ", " Chinese ancient culture village”. Therefore, it has typical significance for studying on the topic that protection and development of traditional village with continuity. Based on the situation and problems of protection and development, combined with the basic requirements of protection and development of traditional village with continuity,this study proposed countermeasures for realizing protection and development with continuity of Ding village. We can take strategies such as setting up the protection and management agencies, making protection and development planning with scientific, promoting tourism sustainable development of Ding village, pushing on the industrialization of intangible cultural heritage of Ding village, strengthening the construction of village living environment of the organic renovation, developing modern agriculture actively.
