Implicit knowledge is the kind of highly individual and difficult knowledge, exiting in individual’s action and experience, which is the basis and source to individual for their knowledge creation and core competitiveness. However, most of the researches have been carried out in the field of management, philosophy, and few studies involve in the field of education, especially postgraduates of English major. In order to have a deep understanding of implicit knowledge and help postgraduates of English major improve themselves, figure out whether the exchange and sharing of implicit knowledge exist in postgraduates of English major, search for the lack of their implicit knowledge on exchange and sharing and find out the strategies to promote their exchange and sharing.The study goes into details:Firstly, what is the current situation of exchange and sharing of implicit knowledge in postgraduates of English major; Secondly, What kind of vacancy exists in postgraduates of English major on their exchange and sharing of implicit knowledge; Thirdly, what ways do the postgraduates of English major have to promote their exchange and sharing of implicit knowledge.The exchange and sharing of implicit knowledge play a important role in the self-development of postgraduates in English major, to get an exact cognition of the current situation of implicit knowledge’s exchange and sharing in postgraduates of English major, the author spent a half year conducting a survey centered on the factors of others management, self management and task management in their implicit knowledge’s exchange and sharing. According to the need of the research, questionnaires and interviews are fully utilized to investigate current situations. There are 103 subjects who are postgraduates of English major and their supervisors from 5 Tianjin universities. The questionnaires contain 19 questions in multiple choices. And 1 opening question. Interviews are conducted as a supplement with the supervisors and some postgraduates. By the analysis of statistics, postgraduates of English major have a vague conception on implicit knowledge, and they think it is very necessary to exchange and share their implicit knowledge, however most of them are lack of the way to promote their implicit knowledge on exchange and sharing.According to the special development features of postgraduates of English major themselves and the immaterialization of implicit knowledge, the author puts forward some suggestions for promoting their exchange and sharing of implicit knowledge from the dimensions of postgraduates in English major, teachers, technology strategy and culture strategy. At last, the author points out the limitation because of the restriction of time and district.
