Dramatic Conflict Of Short Drama-The Analysis Of Short Drama Sniper

In a drama, Dramatic conflict is the key of story development and a most important element of plot, it could reflect character’s personality and raise the emotion from calm to intense. Furthermore, audience is able to share the same feeling with character by dramatic conflict which meanwhile remains some questions to reflect and explore. Therefore, in a short and fast rhythm drama, in order to show character struggling, it is relatively more important to use dramatic conflict than other elements.Based on the creation of drama Sniper, this paper will analyze dramatic conflict in three parts. In detail, firstly, during the writing period, suspense and flashback as two main methods could establish dramatic conflict effectively and ambivalence of character. In addition, raising character’s emotion is emphasized in plot setting as well. The second part specifically states that how to directly or indirectly build dramatic conflict during filming phase in different aspects, which include site choosing, cinematography, mise-en-scène and lighting. Eventually, in the long and complicated postproduction stage, it could be clearly proved that utilizing the technique of parallel montage, sound effect and colour correcting are all very crucial to achieve the purpose of making dramatic conflict, and reflect the main theme of drama Sniper.
