This paper expounds the foundation of Mongolian bird stories, explores the cultural connotation of the bird stories.This paper consists of five parts, introduction, two chapters, and conclusion.The introduction gives a brief overview of the research purpose and significance of the top, the methods used, as well as relevant studies.In the first chapter, it expounds the definition, content, classification and characteristics of the Mongolian bird stories.The second chapter, the Mongolia nationality has a long history and rich culture. In Mongolia traditional culture, folk literature occupies an important position. This paper mainly explores the cultural connotation of the Mongolian bird stories. it’s divided into symbolic role and non symbolic role. In the Mongolian bird stories of swallow, magpie, the white swan bring luck to people, contribute to human behavior so called symbolic role. The crow, owls bring disaster and pain, known as non symbolic role. The Mongols love of birds or hate concept, from Mongolian Nationality Ideas and customs and other cultural content integration.In the conclusion, part summarizes the Mongolian bird stories its unique ecological consciousness, cognitive experience and cultural thinking.
